Cringe has zero tolerance for child sexual abuse and exploitation. This page describes our standards and how to report.
Adults only
Cringe is strictly for people 18 and older. Everyone confirms they are 18 or older when they sign up. We do not check identity documents, so we also rely on moderation, reports, and human review, and we remove accounts we believe belong to minors.
Zero tolerance
Child sexual abuse material and any sexualization of minors are absolutely prohibited. There are no exceptions and no warnings.
What we do
We prohibit this content in our rules, work to detect it through automated screening and human review, remove it from the service, lock the accounts involved, preserve the relevant records under a legal hold, and report to the police and other competent authorities as required by law. Preserved material is never deleted by an ordinary account deletion and is accessible only to the people handling the case.
How to report
Report it in the app, and write to hi@becringe.org. You can also report illegal material to Nettivihje, the Finnish hotline run by Save the Children Finland, at nettivihje.fi, and to the police. If a child is in immediate danger, call 112 in Finland and across the European Union, or your local emergency number elsewhere.
