Accessibility

Last updated: June 6, 2026

We want Cringe to be usable by everyone, including people who use assistive technology.

Our goal

We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines version 2.2 at level AA, in line with European and Finnish accessibility expectations.

What we have done

Accessibility is built into the design system:

  • Semantic structure and labels for screen readers.
  • Full keyboard support with a visible focus ring.
  • Respect for the reduce motion setting, so animations calm down.
  • Color contrast checked against AA, with coral reserved and darkened for small text.

Known limits and contact

Some areas may still fall short, and we treat that as a bug. If something is hard to use, write to hi@becringe.org and we will fix it.
